Individual Membership
The KCHS has a very healthy membership base – there are over 1,200 individual members, many of whom are Life members. This is eloquent testimony to how gripping the history of our area is! Our members take active roles in many events. It is also eloquent validation of the work that our volunteers have done to create and nurture a dynamic historical society for the smallest county in Michigan. Without our members, the Society would shrivel up and disappear, so we are very grateful for every new and renewing member. Please join us!

Members automatically receive “The Superior Signal,” the award-winning newsletter published three times each year, and free entry to our museums.

Please use the online form or the print and mail form (below) and thanks for joining the KCHS.

Corporate Membership
The KCHS Board recently approved the establishment of a Corporate Sponsorship program.  Unlike sponsorships for specific events, KCHS felt that an annual membership was a way that businesses could show their support in carrying out our mission.  In return, KCHS would provide some recognition of your product or service.  Several vendors have approached KCHS seeking services performed in lieu of cash and the Board agreed to provide this option too.

Annual Dues Structure for Corporate Sponsors –Option of Cash or Services
• Platinum - $1,000
• Gold - $500
• Silver - $300
• Bronze - $150

Benefits of Membership Dependent on Level of Giving

News:

KCHS museum sites and the cottage rentals are open for the 2021 season, except the Bammert Blacksmith Shop which is closed for repairs.  See the museum sites’ webpages for closing dates and hours.

The Keweenaw County Historical Society’s Board of Directors will follow the COVID-19 Epidemic Orders issued by the State of Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services.  These public health orders are updated as needed, so KCHS may need to change access to buildings and events.

Please check back for updates.
